My Pink Bake

Gary, Jeanne and Mel have invited us to bake for The Great Bloggers Bake Off. The theme this year is to express who we are in our baking. I knew I was going to bake something pink.

I chose these iced jam slices. Pick your favourite jam – I chose raspberry – to sandwich in between two crumbly buttery slabs. Ice with light pink icing. Then drip a few drops of pink food colouring directly from the bottle and feather with a cocktail stick.

This is how my feathering looked to begin with, before it sort of merged together.
